The Higher Education Academy and Cardiff University
Cardiff University is a subscribing institution to the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and staff and students engage with the HEA in many ways listed on this page.
If you are interested in getting involved, take a look at the latest copy of the HEA Wales bulletin which lists all of the upcoming HEA events in Wales.
Cardiff University provides a range of programmes which map onto the UK Professional Standards Framework and confer the appropriate level of HEA fellowship status on completion. These include:
- Postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning

- Learning to Teach, for postgraduate research students involved in teaching.
A large number of staff have gained individual recognition from the HEA for their teaching and support of learning. Several staff have also gained prestigious National Teaching Fellowship Awards.
