Student Academic Representatives
Student Academic Representatives provide a vital link between Students and the University, providing all students with a friendly face for their feedback, constructive advice and concerns, and then directing this knowledge to the appropriate forum.
Student Academic Representatives bring feedback from their coursemates to regular Student-Staff panels, where reps meet with School Staff to discuss the ways in which their courses can be improved. Student Academic Representatives are also a vital part of the feedback loop, communicating the changes brought about in Student-Staff panels back to the student body.
Every year the University and Students’ Union work in partnership to find, elect and train new reps in every school, and in 2012/13 there are more than 1000 reps working to improve the educational experience across the University.
