4.3 Fees and funding
Tuition fees and the financial support available to students are variable according to the student’s funding body, whether the placement is paid or unpaid, the length of the placement and nature of the placement itself.
- UK placement year tuition fees are £1800.
- For overseas, year-long periods of placement learning, fees are £1350 when studying abroad (or work as part of Erasmus+) and £1800 for all other work placements.
- For placements lasting less than a year, full undergraduate fees will apply.
The Advice and Money Team (firstname.lastname@example.org ), within Student Support, are able to provide advice to staff and students on financial arrangements for placement learning. They can also work with schools in preparing students for their placement year by presenting information about the fees and funding. Comprehensive information is available online at:
