Helen Pugsley of the School of Medicine has used Turnitin originality reports and the Grademark facility to enable students to develop a thorough understanding of accurate referencing and plagiarism and what constitutes good academic practice.
Dr Dianne Watkins (SONMS), Prof. Paul Dummer, (DENTL), Dr Kamila Hawthorne (MEDIC) led a project to pilot the use of Grademark to provide electronic feedback across their schools. Self and peer assessment can be administratively complex. The PeerMark tool manages the administration for you, providing that the assignment that will be peer-assessed is submitted electronically as a TurnitinUK assignment. It allows for saving and sharing peer assessment questions, and provides fine grained control of who will assess which assignments.
